After-Party Booking Terms
Version 2026-10-24
The short version
- You book a DJ, an MC and four sessions for your event, at your venue. Upgrades (a live act, the film) are extra and listed on your Booking Form.
- One invoice, paid in full before we book anyone.
- You can cancel at any time. How much of the Fee is still due depends on how close to the night you cancel.
- If we can't deliver, you get a performer of the same standard, a new date, or every penny back.
- Your venue, your licence, your guests. Our performers, our running order, a clean set.
- You don't book our DJ or MC direct for twelve months after your event.
1.Who we are
Connect The Vibe Ltd, company number 17210211, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ, VAT number 525 8380 76 ("we", "us"). "You" means the business named on the Booking Form.
2.What these terms cover
2.1 These terms cover bookings of our after-party service for your event (the "Event"). They don't cover The Residency, which has its own terms at connectthevibe.com/terms.
2.2 The Booking Form and these terms are the whole agreement. If they disagree, the Booking Form wins.
3.What you get
3.1 A DJ and an MC, playing a running order of four sessions for the slot on the Booking Form, normally about two and a half hours.
3.2 A run sheet agreed with you around your timings, signed off by you at least 7 days before the Event.
3.3 We choose the performers and the records. The set is clean, and if you send us a do-not-play list at least 14 days before the Event, we follow it.
3.4 Upgrades are only what's listed on the Booking Form.
4.Booking and paying
4.1 A booking is made when you sign the Booking Form. We take bookings at least eight weeks before the Event.
4.2 We invoice the full Fee (the base Fee plus any Upgrades, plus VAT) when you book. It's payable by bank transfer within 30 days of the invoice, and in any event at least 28 days before the Event.
4.3 We book the performers once your payment has cleared. If the Fee hasn't been paid 28 days before the Event, we may cancel the booking, and clause 6 applies as if you'd cancelled that day.
4.4 We may charge interest and compensation on late payment under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4.5 Our bank details only ever appear on our invoice. If anyone sends you different bank details, phone us on 07930 274299 before you pay.
5.Your side
5.1 The venue is yours: the venue contract, access, power, a working sound system the DJ can plug into, and a table for the DJ.
5.2 The venue's licence must cover DJ performance on the date. If we ask, you or the venue confirm that in writing.
5.3 You give us access to the room at least 60 minutes before our slot starts.
5.4 Your guests are your responsibility. If a performer is harassed, abused or put at risk, they may stop and leave, and the Event counts as delivered.
5.5 You may film and photograph the Event for your own use, and you're responsible for the consent of anyone you publish. We never publish an image from your Event in which a guest can be recognised, and we don't use any image from it without your written agreement.
5.6 If you agree on the Booking Form, we film and photograph our performers and the room for our own use. We only ever show the DJ, the MC and the floor from behind or far away, never a guest who can be recognised, and never your logo or branding without your written agreement.
6.If you cancel
6.1 You may cancel at any time, by email to charlie@connectthevibe.com.
6.2 If you do, this part of the Fee remains payable:
More than 90 days before the Event: 25%
90 to 29 days before the Event: 50%
28 days or less before the Event: 100%
We keep that part from anything you've already paid and refund the rest within 14 days.
6.3 Where an Upgrade includes a live act, the act's own cancellation terms apply to that part of the Fee, and they're set out on the Booking Form.
6.4 If your venue cancels, or your event is called off, that counts as you cancelling, unless clause 8 applies.
6.5 To move the date, ask in writing more than 60 days before the Event. We'll move it once at no charge if the performers can do the new date. Otherwise it's a cancellation of the old date and a new booking.
7.If we can't deliver
7.1 If a performer can't make it, we replace them with one of the same standard at no extra cost, and tell you as soon as we know.
7.2 If we can't deliver the Event at all, we'll offer you a new date. If you don't accept it within 14 days, we refund everything you've paid for the Event, in full.
7.3 If part of what's on the Booking Form isn't delivered, you don't pay for that part.
8.Things nobody controls
If the Event can't go ahead because of something outside your control and ours (for example a venue closure ordered by an authority, a fire or flood, a government restriction, or a period of national mourning), we'll offer you a new date within 12 months. If none suits you, we refund the Fee less any money we've already paid to performers that we can't get back, and we'll show you the paperwork.
9.Our DJ and MC
For 12 months after the Event, you won't book the DJ or MC we provided, directly or through anyone else, without going through us. If you do, you'll pay us a fee equal to the base Fee for this booking, plus VAT.
10.Liability
10.1 Our total liability to you for everything to do with the booking is capped at the Fees you've paid us for it.
10.2 We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, reputation or opportunity.
10.3 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow to be limited.
11.Insurance
We will hold public liability insurance of at least £10 million for your Event, and send you the certificate before it.
12.Your data
We handle the contact details on your booking under our privacy policy at connectthevibe.com/privacy. We don't need your guest list for an after-party, and we won't ask for it.
13.General
13.1 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales decide any dispute.
13.2 We may update these terms. The version named on your Booking Form is the one that applies to your booking.
13.3 Nobody other than you and us has rights under these terms (Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999).
